These accelerators are free to join. There is no application fee or equity taken.
Upon selection, overseas tech ventures can participate in their home countries with the expectation of attending the interim review/Proof-of-Concept(POC) pitch (week 4) and/or final Demo Day (week 13) in Hong Kong. The interim review includes an orientation program/tour to understand how to develop business in the HK/China market. Once selected for the POC, overseas participants will present their POC in HK during the Demo Day. Both trips to HK would be partly subsidised.
HKSTP will sponsor the flight ticket and hotel accommodation of one representative from the selected overseas tech venture to visit Hong Kong for Interim Review or Demo Day.
If you are not based in Hong Kong, yet successfully selected to get into the Interim Review or Demo Day, HKSTP will arrange booking for your flight tickets and hotel accommodation in Hong Kong through designated travel agency, and shall subsidise the cost up to HK$10,000 for one representative for the corresponding expenses.
Please note that the subsidised booking must be done through our agency and HKSTP will cover the accommodation of maximum two nights. For any exceeding amount, the participant should settle with the travel agency.
This program does not entail direct investments. However, if you are selected, our incubation ecosystem has a wide-breath of investors and VC partners to network. GAA will provide training support to selected applicants to help you in adapting the business environment and equipping you with more skillsets for the upcoming interim review and discussion on Proof-of Concept, while the corporate partner(s) will provide mentorship to you to offer advice and industry insight to you in developing and/or improving your solution(s) to better-fit the needs of the industry.
After the interim review, selected applicants will discuss the potential arrangement of Proof-of-Concept with the corresponding industry partner(s), such as service scope, timeline, and cost breakdown. Corporate partner will pay for the Proof-of-Concept in accordance to the agreed terms.
For the acceleration cohort, an NDA is not signed. Your application information and solution proposal will be shared with our industry partners for their selection purpose only. For details regarding our Data Collection Policy, please refer to the application form.
